Our final Employee Spotlight of 2020 shines on Jay Little, Service Technician from Bobcat of York.  Jay is also a Service Hero, having served four tours of duty in the United States Marine Corps.  We’ll get back to that in just a moment.  In the short 18 months or so that Jay has been working at Bobcat of York he has obtained his Silver Service Technician Certification Training and is on track for his Gold status with his next in-person training & testing. He has also earned his Gold Certification for Stihl 2-Cycle Technician. He credits his settling in here so quickly to the support, comradery, and positive morale within the York store.

Jay spent 6 years active duty in the Marine Corps having signed up after 9/11 & achieving the rank of Sergeant.  His experience in the course of those 4 deployments taught Jay a lot. He grew as a man, a brother, a leader, and as it turned out when he returned that last time, a father.  He gained from those experiences and he lost. (See some of those he toured with and lost below).  Becoming a father would lead him to choosing civilian & family life, and who could blame him.  He is a new kind of hero today.  One that will always be larger than life in a young boy’s eyes.

When Jay isn’t working hard in the shop, he enjoys spending family time with his wife, son & support dog, Cooper.  They love taking family vacations to the beaches, enjoying the outdoors, playing games together as a family or watching sports.  Having spent time overseas and serving in Afghanistan has taught him to take time and appreciate every day.  Tomorrow is never promised.

Amen, Jay.  Thank you for your Service!
